Love Like A River |
||
|
Priscilla Wightman is a member of Lismore's Reconciliation Choir "Voices Together". She brought in some ideas for a song and asked me to help. This is the result. It can be solo with a guitar, but I wrote it as a three part choral piece. Only a few words here and there were from me. Priscilla told me she was stolen at the age of 6 when she went out of site of her family. She never saw her parents again! This was just over 30 years ago, when most of us had no idea of what was really going on. Yet she writes these beautiful words of love, understanding and Reconciliation. ---------------------------------- There is love like a river
in my soul. There is strength in my soul You may wonder why we walk
the walk, (CHORUS)
Good honest love that is magical, empowering, rejuvenating, (BRIDGE)Indigenous
Australians and aliens, We are not greedy, it's not
about money, My family is important, the
strength they give is good, Please note: Priscilla will recieve 50% of any sales or royalties of this song |
